Michaela Cook – also known by her stage name, ‘Micks’ [Google search: ‘Michaela Micks Cook’] – is an Australian recording artist/songwriter, tv presenter, social media personality, commercial model, and entertainment influencer. After starting her media career as a recording artist, Michaela has reshaped her personal brand to align within the ‘Tourism/Lifestyle’ niche.

As a recording artist/songwriter, Micks has appeared on the Australian and United States Official Music Charts, and received International Radio Airplay across the Americas, the United Kingdom, Australia (Country radio), and Europe.

Whilst being considered ‘too mainstream’ by the Australian country-music institutions and ‘too country’ for the Australian mainstream media channels, Micks was forced to forge her own path independently. The social media star fused wholesome country music values with her mainstream pop-image and in the process has amassed over 1.5M social media followers, naturally stepping into the entertainment influencing and blogging space.

Recently included by the Courier Mail in, ‘Brisbane’s Top 25 A-list Influential Women’, Michaela has positioned herself as a Tourism and Lifestyle influencer, partnering with global brands and government bodies alike The Hilton, Marriott, Major Events Gold Coast, and Tourism and Events Queensland, providing her followers an insight into tourism and hospitality experiences and trusted reviews.

The TV presenter recently launched an online tourism web-series, “Micks Steps In,” attracting an average of 50K views/episode and major collaborations with the likes of the Australian National Geographic.

Micks experienced explosive online growth when she started documenting her life through pictures and videos. Focusing on promoting the actions of kindness, inclusion and acceptance; Micks continues to cultivate a loyal supporter base who enjoy being part of her positive online community, #TeamMicks.

Across 2020-2022, Micks continued to be featured in media outlets alike The Rolling Stone Magazine (IN), achieve two back-to-back no.1 Australian singles, and release a podcast debuting on the Australian and Indian podcast charts, The Micks Collective Podcast. In September 2022, Michaela was ranked #72 on the Australian Influencer Index by The Oz, a subsidiary of Newscorp’s The Australian Newspaper, and announced as a finalist for the Gold Coast Woman of the Year 2022. Flash forward to November 2023, Michaela was featured in The New York Times after a strong year of solidifying her transition from a music to media personality on the world-stage.

Michaela actively uses her platform to voice worthy causes, previously collaborating with the White Ribbon Foundation, Variety Children's Foundation, and has been a proud RSPCA QLD Ambassador since 2015.

Beginning her media career as a child commercial model, Michaela is continuing her on-screen presence by appearing, hosting, and performing on various national TV shows across Australian national-networks Channel Seven, Channel Nine, and Network Ten, focusing her efforts to pivot towards full-time TV presenting, commercial modelling, and acting roles.
